Detour Dance Festival is thrilled to anounce the danish premiere of “Shadows of Heritage” by Oliver Zohore
Dates:
Tuesday 8th – Friday 11th of October
Ticket sale coming soon in August.
Oliver is originally from Denmark and Ivory Coast, and for the past few years, he has also worked and lived in Norway. He has broad experience as a dancer in theater, music videos, TV, live shows, and festivals. He is also active in battles both as a participant and judge, and teaches regularly. After mostly working as a dancer, Oliver is inspired to explore his own choreographic ideas and thoughts. This is Oliver’s first solo work on stage.
“Shadows of Heritage” is an exploration of cultural identity and the power of embracing one’s roots. With roots from Denmark and Ivory Coast, Oliver reveals layers of history, tradition, and personal narrative. Amidst the shadows of his heritage, he unites his cultural roots with his own paths.
